Oracle Reading for 1.30.2012

Alright, alright! I’M BACK! I’m going to kick off my return with a reading for everyone, and I want doing a reading for you all each Monday to become a ritual, so keep me on my toes!

The Sun Dancers twirled across our path today bring us wisdom about joyful activity, celebration of life, and abundance. They came to remind us about the laws of attraction and how important it is to be joyful and giving praise. When we do this, we attract more to be joyful and give praise about! Lift the vibration of your energy to match the energy of whatever it is you wish to manifest in your life. Give thanks as if it’s already manifested in front of you and DANCE a dance of victory, as if you’ve already won, as if you’ve already achieved your goal!

We are in control of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. That being said, sometimes things happen that are not within our control and it results in events and situations that we don’t like. “Bad things” or unfavorable situations do not indicate an inability to create what we desire, it means that life happens – and what REALLY matters is how we choose to react in these given situations. More so than when times are good, when you face difficulty, turn up the volume on the song your heart sings and continue to dance and bask in the warmth of the sun. If you can still choose love, light, joy, and happiness in the face of difficulty, then you have reached a level of self mastery. Just as the sun comes up every morning, trust in the Divine to help you rise above any difficulties you face.

Thanks for reading and Blessed Be! )O(

MIA

Because of the unbecoming business practices of a certain service provider, I have been essentially disconnected from the world for the last few weeks. No phone. No internet. No television. I’ve survived (not sure if I should add an “LOL” here or not) and the solitude left me to do nothing but advance on my path. Lots of reading, writing, rituals, learning, etc. You’d think I’d be overwhelmed, but I’m not. I feel extremely blessed and happy for all that the time alone has afforded me. I feel inclined to keep the details to myself, but I have really leveled up and grown over the last two weeks, and I wouldn’t have been able to do so with the distractions that modern technologies can sometimes cause. My last post was about wealth and abundance and I am receiving a windfall in the form of knowledge and wisdom. I did indeed ask for a blessing from Lakshmi – she delivered 😀

I’m sensing that I will have LOTS to post about upon my return to the internetz, so brace yourselves because you know how much I love to share the wealth!

Blessed Be )O(

What I Know About Wealth

I’m not some guru sitting in a mansion, surrounded by luxury items with servants at my beck and call, so don’t get it twisted and assume that I’m going to tell you how to get money. Now that we’re clear on that – I’d like to speak on my budding Wisdom and Understanding concerning wealth, the True nature of it, and what I know so far about how to attract more if it into one’s life.

There’s a billion and one “get rich quick” schemes out there. You can go to any bookstore or walk passed any kiosk and see a slew of “how to” and “self help books” with the supposed keys to getting money and being wealthy. There are self professed guru’s out there who are just ballin’ outta control and who will gladly take your money so that you can hear them talk and tell you how you can do it too. I’ve never bought into a scheme, purchased a book, or gone to a seminar, but I have sat and wallowed and day dreamed about having more money, about being wealthy and having the freedom to do all the things I want to do. For every person like me who has never fallen into the trap, there are probably ten who have and who will continue to until we (collectively) become consciously aware of the True nature of wealth and how we can actively tap into that source and attract and manifest wealth into our lives.

A wonderful teacher and friend of mine, Tirra Hargrow, states that MONEY = My Own Natural Energy Yield. When I first read this about two years ago, it struck a chord with me, but I couldn’t quite pick up the melody because I wasn’t at the level of Understanding I am now. What I “get” now is that money is merely a physical representation of our ability to wield our energy and create the lives we want to live. Yes, I understand that people used to barter and trade, but I’m speaking about the present, so stay with me. In the present, modern, world, money is what we use to propel ourselves forward in life. We need money to have even our basic (modern) needs met – food, shelter, bills, transportation, education, health care, etc – THEN if we want to have “better” provisions in those areas, we have to make even more money. On top of that, we like to experience leisure and luxury too – gadgets, concerts, road trips, vacations, etc, and that certainly costs money. Some people have the means to do all of this and then some, some people can only indulge sparingly, and some are not able to do it at all; and, to take it even further, there are some people who can’t even fulfill their basic needs.

Poverty consciousness, scarcity, and lack are at the opposite end of the pendulum swing as compared to wealth, abundance, and resources and, as per Universal Law, there can’t be one without the other. Contrary to popular belief, one without the existence of the other DOESN’T mean that others must be without so that others can have. It means that the ability to attract wealth into one’s life is the microcosmic example for the ability for wealth to be the standard in the world at large. “What I can do to consciously attract wealth is applicable to the collective if we were to realize that we are one, massive mind.” – That’s how I break it down for my own Understanding, and now that I’ve done that, it’s time to get to the Wisdom part of it. (Wisdom = Knowledge applied.)

The Wisdom I’ve gained about wealth thus far is that I need to first heal my relationship with money. Money doesn’t make me, I make money. Money doesn’t control me, I control money. It’s a material example of my ability to manifest the life I desire. But before I attract a single dollar, I must remember that, just like everything else, wealth starts first in the ether – THE SPIRIT – and then makes it’s way to the mind, the emotions, and finally into manifestation. To have a wealthy spirit is to be consciously aware of the natural abundance of The All, of The Universe, and of Mother Earth. It’s the ability to be flexible and to be open to whatever opportunities present themselves to grow and ascend spiritually. With that, I leave you with this beautiful image of Goddess Lakshmi! May her grace, beauty, wealth, and abundance nurture your spirit and open you to the wealth all around you!

The Value of Silence

“Loose lips sink ships!” as the old adage goes. This is one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned as I continue to travel down my spiritual path. Delving into the value of silence was partially inspired by a post from a like spirited sister of mine, Yvonne Nieves. She wrote about how anxious one gets when their path is first discovered – you want to know everything and you want everyone to know that you want to know everything. You want to share with everyone what you’re experiencing because you’re just so damn excited! It’s great that you’re happy to be on the road to what has always been meant for you, but check yourself on how open you are and how much you share of your personal journey and what information you find. If it were meant to be shared and known by everyone, it would not be classified as occult or arcane. I was guilty of running off at the mouth for a time. I was beside myself with joy over discovering my real self and my purpose, and I still am, but I understand the value of keeping what has been revealed to me to myself. Especially in light of the fact that truest and deepest nature of something isn’t always revealed right away – the more input and insight is given by people and energies outside of oneself and one’s connection to Source, the more the original message gets diluted and lost on the fray. So close your lips and open your mind and heart, even though it’s really hard to do at first.

It’s a wonderful feeling – that sense of being “home” when one finally finds their calling, their path, their truth, and while it’s natural to want to find others who are on a similar path and to want to share your joy, the way in which you do it is very important. Everyone does not need to know every time you have a deep thought or make a new discovery. You don’t have to run and get on twitter or post a new facebook status to tell everyone about what meditation you did and how great it felt, or what ritual you’re going to perform tonight, nor do you need to share all information you stumble across. And you most certainly don’t need to, moreover you probably shouldn’t, spill about all of the experiences that are personal to your journey because THEY’RE FOR YOU! If you receive a message that’s general and would be relevant to the world and to the lives of the people around you, by all means, share the wealth. But not every happening, discovery, or thought you experience is meant to be told or shared – some things are truly meant to be held close to your heart in safety – remaining sacred.  Write it all out in your journal or your Book of Shadows, absolutely, but don’t feel the need to broadcast everything over every social media and networking outlet you can think of, for it diminishes the value of why it was meant for you and you alone. Silence is a virtue after all, and it becomes more and more important as you come to understand that whatever path you’re on is really the one for you. “To be adept is to be quiet as kept.” – Dava Greely

Oracle Reading for 1.4.2012

The Wise Woman of Wonderland has appeared as an Ally bringing messages of integrity and compromise. This is a great message for the New Year especially – it’s an opportunity to learn how to be more in command of your life and to be a part of the survival and thriving of the Earth and all life that dwells here!

Be conscious of your thoughts, words, and actions because the kinds of vibrations you send out through those channels are the same types that come back to you – so choose what kind of day, week, month, year, LIFE you’d like to have in each moment. Move with integrity throughout each day and watch things bend and shape around you to suit the desires of your heart. This is an especially important message in the year 2012 as the Earth and its inhabitants experience the shifts that have been predicted by ancient cultures the world over. We collectively have the power to change the world in every sense of the phrase. Our thoughts now are bombarded with worry, fear, violence, and lack – and that’s exactly what we see in the world. If we were to refuse to accept those streams of negative vibrations and switch our thoughts, word, and actions into those of faith, joy, justice, and abundance – we would effectively transmute the energy vibrations to attract those things and manifest them on Earth. SPREAD THE WORD! With integrity of course!

Compromise is great in some cases, but not in all of them, and The Wise Woman of Wonderland has also come to teach us that we are not to give up and set aside what we feel in our hearts that Spirit has for us. Stand firm, strong, and in full faith in who you are and what you’re here on this Earth to do. Let no one sway you and be aware of your own subconscious thoughts, which sometimes can be more damaging those of another. Your resolve will cause circumstances and people to fall away from you, but don’t fret! If you truly believe that you have a purpose, then be content with the removal of anything and anyone who stands in your way. It may be a friend, a family member, a situation, an event, a job – it could be anyone of those things and then some. If you feel a sense of relief when it falls away – if you feel lighter, like you’re able to travel towards where you really want to go – be content! But once those obstacles are removed, we must circle back around to integrity – move forward with integrity.

Sometimes Things Go Wrong for a Reason

I sent in paperwork three weeks ago to request a continuance on the hearing for the custody of my daughter. Her father and his lawyer have not been cooperating (by which I mean not talking to me at all), so I didn’t feel comfortable going in front of the judge having no information or correspondence. Long story short – the motion did not go through and the hearing is still set for tomorrow. I have no lawyer and I don’t have a single clue as to what’s going on, hence, the request for a continuance. The information I found on the court’s website led me to believe that the motion would be granted provided that I notified the other party, which I sent the money for. Phone lines have been screwy because of the holidays and the offices just opened back up today. I wasn’t anticipating having to go up to Virginia tomorrow, so I don’t have the means to do that. I will have to ask to be heard by phone, or I will just have to forfeit and try again later. I’ve done everything I’m supposed to do thus far, and I can’t afford to be stressed about this. I just can’t. I have to have faith in everything I’ve done up to this point and continue to believe that she will come home in the right time, and I just have to continue to look forward and prepare for that. Maybe there is still a lot of work I need to do before she comes back to be with me. I’m open to receiving whatever Spirit has for me, and whatever package it comes in. This is such a huge plan in “Man plans, God laughs”. I had this play by play in my head of what I was going to do and say and how I was going to get my daughter back, but it’s just not working out that way, and I’m at peace with it. I surrender, and I trust that things will work out for the highest and greatest good in perfect timing. So here’s to not freaking out. Cheers.

Excerpts & Insights from Chapter 9 of Nobody Puts Crack Baby in a Corner

AVAILABLE NOW ON AMAZON.COM!

“One night at the dinner table, Lilly got upset with me because I took the last piece of some food she liked. I can’t remember exactly what it was. When I declined to share on account of her being a brat, she balled up her little fists, scowled, and yelled at me, “YOU NIGGLE!” It got so quiet in that kitchen you could have heard an ant fart. Sam and Diane exchanged looks of shock, confusion, and, to my dismay, amusement. I sat there, dumbfounded and angry.”

___

My youngest foster sister and I were like peas in a pod for the most part, always together, but as she grew older and became more aware of our racial differences, she began to look at me and feel shame. She was exposed to things in the world that told her that there was something “wrong” with me because of my skin color and the fact that it was different and darker than hers. That hurt a lot, because I never saw her as anything other than my sister. I cared about her, I cared for her, and I protected her, so her starting to not want me around anymore was very painful to deal with.
